Wular Lake



Wular Lake (also spelt Wullar) is a large fresh water lake in Bandipore district in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The lake basin was formed as a result of tectonic activity and is fed by the Jhelum River. The lake's size varies from 12 to 100 square miles (30 to 260 square kilometers), depending on the season.The lake is one of six Indian wetlands designated as a Ramsar site. However it faces environmental threats including the conversion of large parts of the lake's catchment areas into agriculture land, pollution from fertilizers and animal wastes, hunting of waterfowl and migratory birds and weed infestation in the lake itself.The Tulbul Project is a "navigation lock-cum-control structure" at the mouth of Wular Lake
Manasbal Lake



Manasbal Lake is located in the Jhelum valley in Bandipora District, north of Srinagar city in the State of Jammu and Kashmir in India. The name Manasbal is said to be a derivative of the Lake Manasarovar.Lake is encircled by three villages viz., Jarokbal, Kondabal (also called Kiln place, is situated on the north-eastern side of the lake) and Ganderbal and is stated to be the deepest lake (at 13 m/43 ft depth) in the Kashmir valley. The large growth of lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) at the periphery of the lake (blooms during July and August) adds to the beauty of the clear waters of the lake. The Mughal garden, called the Garoka, (meaning bay window) built by Nur Jahan overlooks the lake. The lake is a good place for birdwatching as it is one of the largest natural stamping grounds of Aquatic birds in Kashmir and has the sobriquet of "supreme gem of all Kashmir Lakes".The rootstocks of lotus plant which grows extensively in the lake are harvested and marketed, and also eaten by the local people.

Nishat garden Srinagar is the largest one of the Mughal gardens in Kashmir.Nishat garden Bandipora is built in accordance with the Nishat Garden Srinagar and is in the outskirts of main market Bandipora,It features Beautiful and various Flowers and Trees and provide with a quite and relax environment place for the people of Bandipora town.
Wular Vintage Park



Wular Vantage park is a Beautiful park in the outskirts of Bandipora town in a village called Gurura built at the Bank of the wular lake, It provides a beautiful scenic view of the Wular lake with varieties of flora.
Danishwar(Chota Amarnath)



One of the sacred places of Hindus is Danishwar,locally also called as Chota Amarnath. It a cave in dense forests of Arin. Pilgrim have to crawl about 60 meters to reach a cave where there are engraved features of Lord Shiva. People used to go there on the Sharvan Purnima,the date on which Amar Nath Yatra is being performed
Darul-uloom-Rahimiyah



The famous madrasa working on the pattern of Nizamiya University of Baghdad,namely Dar-ul-Uloom-Rahimiyah,is also located in Bandipore which is the second largest madrasa in India after Dar-ul-uloom-Deoband.
Zanalankh Island
The Kashmiri Sultan Zain-ul-Abidin is reputed to have ordered the construction of the artificial island of Zaina Lank in the middle of the lake in 1444, The island is near to the villages Banyari, Kulhama,Suderkut Pain and Lankrishpura
